Privacy policy

What's collected, why, where it's kept, and how to have it deleted.

Last updated

This policy explains, in plain language, what TruApply collects, why, where it’s kept and what you can ask for. It’s written by TruApply’s founder for an early-stage product and hasn’t been reviewed by a lawyer. If anything here is unclear, email neeraj@neerajpal.dev.

Who’s responsible

TruApply is run by its founder, Neeraj Pal. Questions and requests about your data go to neeraj@neerajpal.dev.

The waitlist

What’s collected: your email address; the role you’re after, if you add it; which form you used (the top or the bottom of the home page); and the time you joined.

Why: your email is used to send your early-access invite and nothing else. The role, if you add it, helps decide what to build first.

Where it’s kept: in a Cloudflare D1 database on TruApply’s Cloudflare account. The site itself is served by Cloudflare Pages.

How long: until you ask for it to be deleted, or until the waitlist is no longer needed, whichever comes first.

Using TruApply in early access

What’s collected: your account email and sign-in details; the resume files you upload and the text read from them; your facts, tags, edits and template choices; the documents you create; and a record of AI usage, so the cost guard can cap spend.

Why: to build your profile, your facts bank and your documents. Nothing else.

AI processing: to read your resume and build your facts, the text needed for that task is sent to the AI services TruApply uses, and the result comes back to your account.

Where it’s kept: with the cloud hosting and storage providers TruApply uses to run the app.

Who sees it: you. Your data isn’t shown to other users, isn’t shared with employers, and nothing is sent to an employer without your approval.

What TruApply doesn’t do

  • It doesn’t sell or rent your data, to anyone.
  • It doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and this site runs no analytics.
  • It doesn’t apply to jobs or message anyone on your behalf.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies. If you pick a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it, and it never leaves your device. The TruApply app keeps you signed in with a token stored in your browser, used only for signing in.

Your choices

  • See your data. Ask what’s held about you.
  • Correct it. Ask for anything wrong to be fixed, or fix it yourself in the app.
  • Delete it. Ask for your waitlist entry, or your account and everything in it, to be deleted. Email neeraj@neerajpal.dev from the address involved, and it’s done within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects how your data is used, you’ll get an email before it takes effect.
